Our Fan Tour Model
Our Fan Tours are intentionally designed as independent tours for accompanying family members.
Through this model, our goal is to provide student-athletes with an experience that fosters both athletic development and personal growth, while enabling family members to continue being a part of their student-athlete's sports journey!
Fan Tour Details
Barcelona & Valencia, Spain
Per Person Cost

Single Occupancy Room: $3795 per traveler

Double Occupancy Room: $3495 per traveler
Included

Eight nights lodging at 4-star hotels (four nights in
Barcelona and four nights in Valencia.) The hotels will
be separate from, but nearby, the student-athletes.

Breakfast daily and four additional group meals––
three group meals for accompanying fans and one
group meal at the end of the tour that includes all
fans, student-athletes, and Beyond Sports staff

Tour Dates
We are operating two 2024 Beyond Sports Fan Tours:
-
Fan Tour #1 (July 17 - 25, 2024) is for those accompanying athletes on our high school soccer and volleyball tours
-
Fan Tour #2 (July 30 - Aug 7, 2024) is for those accompanying athletes on our high school basketball, lacrosse, and softball tours
While many excursions will be shared between fans, during the exhibition games, attendees will exclusively spectate the games they've come to see. The minimum age requirement for this tour is 10 years old.
Payment
A $250 deposit per person is required to reserve a spot
on the Beyond Sports Fan Tour. Additional payments
will be paid in a series of installments:

Capacity
A minimum of 20 travelers are required to operate each Fan Tour. While we expect to meet the minimum requirement, in the event that fewer than 20 individuals register, we will refund all funds paid, including the deposit. In this event, we will also provide trip planning support to all accompanying travelers.
We will confirm the trip is set to operate by March 15th.

Tour Itinerary
Day 0 - Travel Day
If you are traveling from the US, for Fan Tour #1 will need to depart from the US on July 16th in order to arrive in Spain on July 17th. For Fan Tour #2 you will need to depart from the US on July 29th in order to arrive in Spain on July 30th.
Day 1 - Barcelona
Arrive to Barcelona (BCN) airport! Our staff will greet you at the airport and accompany you via shuttle to our Beyond Sports Fan Hotel. Group dinner in the evening.
Day 2 - Barcelona
Morning guided tour of Barcelona, including the Gaudi Houses, Gothic Quarter, and Camp Nou Stadium––home to the FC Barcelona professional soccer team. Afternoon to continue exploring or resting at the hotel. Independent dinner in the evening.
Day 3 - Valencia
Morning bus transfer to Valencia. Hotel check-in and free time in the afternoon. Evening transfer to the first exhibition game, followed by a group dinner.
Day 4 - Valencia
Morning guided tour of Valencia’s Old Town district. Free time in the afternoon––recommendations include shopping or visiting the Cathedral, Gastro Markets, or museums in Old Town. Independent dinner in the evening.
Day 5 - Valencia
Free day––enjoy the white sand beaches, visit the stunning City of Arts & Sciences, or indulge in Spanish cuisine on a city food tour. Evening transfer to the second exhibition game, followed by independent dinner.
Day 6 - Valencia
Free time to shop for souvenirs in Valencia's city center or relax at the beach. Enjoy the final night in Valencia with a group dinner, followed by a Flamenco Show.
Day 7- Barcelona
Morning bus departure for Barcelona. Stop in Tarragona on the beautiful Costa Dorada in the Catalonia region. Afternoon visit to Park Guell, followed by the last exhibition game. Independent dinner in the evening.
Day 8 - Barcelona
Morning guided tour of the famed Sagrada Familia. Evening celebratory group dinner with all Fan Tour participants, student-athletes, and Beyond Sports staff.
Day 9- Travel Day
Morning transfer to the airport. Depart from the Barcelona (BCN) airport with memories to last a lifetime!
Please understand that the final itinerary may change slightly based on the confirmed game schedule. We will do our best to follow this exact itinerary.
Fan Tour FAQ
When is the deadline to register?
Register by March 1st to receive our $200 early bird registration discount. The final day to register for a Fan Tour is May 15th, 2024.
Can I stay with my student-athlete at the same hotel?
To enable us to continue providing an independent experience for our student-athletes, our Fan Tour hotels are separate from the student-athletes. All Fan Tour hotels will be within 20 minutes of where are students are staying.
When will I be able to see my student-athlete?
Accompanying fans will be able to see their student-athlete at the exhibition games, as well as during the final celebratory meal on the last night of the tour.
Can I opt out of activities on the itinerary?
Yes, participants may opt out of activities on the itinerary. Please note, any replacement activities are at the expense of the participant.
How will I travel to Spain?
Tour participants are responsible for arranging their own air travel to and from Spain. We provide detailed flight booking instructions in the pre-departure process.
Who will meet me at the airport in Spain?
Our Beyond Sports staff will be waiting for you at the airport in Spain. Once you connect with our team in Spain, our staff and tour coaches will stay with you through the duration of the program.
If I select the Double Occupancy Package, is that cost shared between those sharing a room?
No, the Double Occupancy Package is a per traveler rate. Both travelers who intend on sharing a double occupancy room will need to register and are responsible for cover the $3495 per traveler tour package.
