*Airport transfers are included and arranged for students who arrive and depart on the designated days. If students wish to extend their stay on either end of the trip, they are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the hotel.
CAPACITY
This tour is capped at 32 student-athletes. Individuals are encouraged to register as soon as they are ready to guarantee their spot.
There is not a cap for any family and friends who are interested in joining the tour.

ACCOMMODATIONS
All hotel stays are in 4-star hotels. Participants will share a room with another traveler, however, every participant will have their own bed.
PAYMENT
A $250 deposit is required to reserve your spot for the tour. The deposit deadline is February 1st, 2024.
The remaining balance is paid in a series of installments. Partial payments can be made at your convenience prior to the deadline.

ROSTER SIZE
This tour will have two rosters of 16 student-athletes. Each roster will play three exhibition competitions. Playing time will be divided up evenly among players.

Tour Itinerary
DAY 1
Travel day! Depart from your preferred U.S. airport on an overnight flight to Italy.
DAY 2
Arrival in Milan! Connect with Beyond Sports staff at the Milan airport (LIN or MXP) and transfer to the hotel. Free time to explore before afternoon hotel check-in. Evening practice session with your new teammates followed by a welcome dinner and trip orientation. Overnight in Milan/Lake Como area.
DAY 3
Morning guided tour of Milan and free time to explore the city center. Afternoon practice with your new teammates, followed by Game #1 in the evening. Overnight in Milan/Lake Como area.
DAY 4
Morning boat tour on Lake Como including a visit to Bellagio; known as the "Pearl of the Lake." Afternoon free time to enjoy Lake Como at your leisure. Game #2 in the evening. Overnight in Milan/Lake Como area.
DAY 5
Morning transfer to the Tuscany region of Italy. Stop at a local farm along the way for a group cooking class and lunch. Evening hotel check-in. Optional trip up the mountain on a cable car for beautiful views of the town and surrounding region. Overnight in Montecatini Terme.
DAY 6
Morning guided tour of Florence with stops at Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Gates of Paradise and Giotto's Bell Tower. Game #3 in the evening. Overnight in Montecatini Terme.
DAY 7
Morning departure for the Italian Riviera and the beautiful Cinque Terre villages. Full day to explore the beaches of Cinque Terre and the 5 villages that make up this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight in Montecatini Terme.
DAY 8
Morning transfer to Rome. Stop along the way in the nearby city, Lucca, for a bike tour and free time. Evening hotel check-in. Overnight in Rome.
DAY 9
Walking tour of Rome including Trevi's Fountain, Spanish Steps and Navona Square. Entrance to Roman Colosseum and Roman Forum for guided tour. Afternoon free time to explore the city center. Overnight in Rome.
DAY 10
Morning guided tour of Vatican City including Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museum. Afternoon free time to continue exploring Rome. Farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight in Rome.
DAY 11
Travel day! Depart from the Rome (FCO) airport with friendships and memories to last a lifetime!

Accept Your Invitation
If you received an invitation from your coach, you can accept your invite and begin registration. If you did not receive an invite, but you are interested in joining the tour, please complete our tour application.

Register & Deposit
When you are ready to commit to the tour, submit your $250 deposit to reserve your spot. The full cost of the tour is not due immediately. Payment deadlines are outlined above and in registration.
3.
Begin Travel Prep
Once registered, your tour coordinator will connect with you to share pre-departure information. We encourage all students who do not have a valid passport to apply for a passport as soon as possible!

I met some of the greatest people on my trip, and have continued to keep in contact and grow our friendships. The group of athletes you'll go with will be experiencing everything with you and sharing a lifetime memory with you. I undoubtedly would tell anyone who can go, to go and see the world. We've worked hard to be where we are at athletically, and you get to experience a lifetime dream while playing the sport you love.
Italy Tour FAQ
How was I selected for this tour?
Tour invite lists are a competitive selection process. We select conference statistical leaders, all-conference honorees, and coach recommendations.
Who will be my tour coach?
Beyond Sports is proud of our incredible network of college coaches that join our international trips as tour coaches! All tour coaches are current college coaches and will be announced in Spring 2024.
How will I travel to Italy?
Tour participants are responsible for arranging their own air travel to and from Italy. If you’re interested in coordinating your travel plans with other tour students, please contact our staff to be connected with your tour teammates.
What do the international travel days look like?
Arrival Day. Tour participants should aim to arrive at either of the Milan airports (MXP or LIN) by the afternoon of June 16th. Our program staff will greet you upon arrival and help transfer you to the hotel. We encourage you to plan accordingly so you arrive on time and can attend your team practice and orientation.
Departure Day. Students will be transferred to Rome (FCO) airport on the morning of June 25th.
