Tour Details

Location: Czech Republic, Austria, Germany
Dates: June 14th - 24th, 2024
Total: $3995

INCLUDED

  • Nine nights hotel accommodations​ (three nights in Prague, three nights in Vienna area, three nights in Munich area)

  • Two meals daily (students are on their own for either lunch or dinner)
     

  • All transportation while in Europe*
     

  • International health insurance
     

  • Minimum of two international exhibition games & three training sessions
     

  • All excursions outlined in the trip itinerary
     

  • Beyond Sports t-shirt and uniform top

*Airport transfers are included and arranged for students who arrive and depart on the designated days. If students wish to extend their stay on either end of the trip, they are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the hotel.

CAPACITY

This tour is capped at 32 student-athletes. Individuals are encouraged to register as soon as they are ready to guarantee their spot.

There is not a cap for any family and friends who are interested in joining the tour.

NOT INCLUDED

  • Round trip airfare to Europe (flying into Prague, Czech Republic and departing from Munich, Germany)
     

  • One meal daily (lunch or dinner)
     

  • Personal expenses (i.e. souvenirs and snacks)
     

  • Passport fees, if applicable
     

  • Additional baggage fees, if applicable
     

  • Trip cancellation/interruption insurance, optional
     

  • Tips for local tour guides, optional

ACCOMMODATIONS

All hotel stays are in 4-star hotels. Participants will share a room with another traveler, however, every participant will have their own bed.

PAYMENT

A $250 deposit is required to reserve your spot for the tour. The deposit deadline is February 1st, 2024.

The remaining balance is paid in a series of installments. Partial payments can be made at your convenience prior to the deadline.

 

  • March 15th –– 50% balance

  • May 1st –– Remaining balance

ROSTER SIZE

This tour will have two rosters of 16 student-athletes. Each roster will play a minimum of two exhibition competitions. Playing time will be divided up evenly among players.

Tour Itinerary

DAY 1

Travel day! Depart from your preferred U.S. airport on an overnight flight to Prague.


DAY 2

Arrival in Prague! Connect with Beyond Sports staff at the Prague (PRG) airport and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon free time before hotel check-in. Evening training session with your new teammates followed by welcome dinner and trip orientation. Overnight in Prague.


DAY 3

Walking tour of Prague including Prague Castle and Charles Bridge. Free time in the afternoon to explore Old Town Square. Overnight in Prague.

 

DAY 4 

Morning optional tour of Moser Glass Factory or the Illusion Art Museum. Game #1 against a local Czech club team in the afternoon. Overnight in Prague.


DAY 5

Bus transfer to Vienna with a stop in Brno—Czech Republic’s second largest city in the South Moravian Region. Afternoon hotel check-in. Free time after dinner to explore. Overnight in Vienna area.

DAY 6 

Morning walking tour of Vienna followed by free time to shop and explore in the city center. Afternoon training session. Overnight in Vienna area.

DAY 7 

Morning boat tour on the Danube River. Take in the sights of both modern and historic Vienna from the serene river. Afternoon free time to check out Prater Amusement Park—the largest amusement park in Europe and oldest in the world. Overnight in Vienna area.

DAY 8

Morning departure for Munich. Stop along the way in Salzburg, a small historic city located in the Alps. Free time to explore the city before traveling the rest of the way to Munich. Overnight in Munich area.

DAY 9

Bike tour of Munich including Konigsplatz, Odeonsplatz, the English Gardens, Old Town and more. Choice of optional afternoon tour of Dachau Concentration Camp or free time to continue exploring Munich followed by the final training session. Overnight in Munich area.

DAY 10

Tour of Neuschwanstein Castle, located in the southernmost part of Germany in the Bavarian foothills of the Alps. Return to Munich for Game #2 followed by a farewell dinner. Overnight in Munich area.

DAY 11

Travel day! Depart from the Munich (MUC) airport with friendships and memories to last a lifetime!

Please understand that the final itinerary may change slightly based on the confirmed game schedule. We will do our best to follow this exact itinerary.

Registration Deadline: Feb. 1, 2024

Accept Your Invitation

If you received an invitation from your coach, you can accept your invite and begin registration. If you did not receive an invite, but you are interested in joining the tour, please complete our tour application.

2.
Register & Deposit

When you are ready to commit to the tour, submit your $250 deposit to reserve your spot. The full cost of the tour is not due immediately. Payment deadlines are outlined above and in registration.

3.
Begin Travel Prep

Once registered, your tour coordinator will connect with you to share pre-departure information. We encourage all students who do not have a valid passport to apply for a passport as soon as possible!

Europe Tour FAQ
How was I selected for this tour?
Tour invite lists are a competitive selection process. We select conference statistical leaders, all-conference honorees, and coach recommendations.

Who will be my tour coach?
Beyond Sports is proud of our incredible network of college coaches that join our international trips as tour coaches! All tour coaches are current college coaches and will be announced in Spring 2024.

How will I travel to Europe?
Tour participants are responsible for arranging their own air travel to and from Europe. If you’re interested in coordinating your travel plans with other tour students, please contact our staff to be connected with your tour teammates.


What do the international travel days look like?
Arrival Day. Tour participants should aim to arrive at the Prague (PRG) airport by the afternoon of June 15th. Our program staff will greet you upon arrival and help transfer you to the hotel. We encourage you to plan accordingly so you arrive on time and can attend your team practice and orientation.

Departure Day. Students will be transferred to the Munich (MUC) airport on the morning of June 24th. 

Note: More flight booking information will be shared with you after you complete registration and pay your deposit.


Can a family member or teammate travel with me?
