Position Details | Tour Coordinator (Seasonal)

Job Description

This is a traveling position. We are looking to hire a team of Tour Coordinators who will help us lead our 2024 Beyond Sports tours and team trips. Our Tour Coordinators oversee participant health and safety, as well as program logistics. The bulk of this summer's programs are taking place in Costa Rica, Spain, South Africa, Greece, and Italy.

Beyond Sports Tour Coordinators are people-oriented, share a passion for creating community through sports, and have a love for travel!

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree

  • Ability to commit to a minimum 14 days of travel this summer

  • Ability to commit to 14+ days of travel, preferred 

  • Minimum two years of experience working with college students

  • One to two years of experience in coaching, coordinating group travel, event management, and/or event planning, preferred

  • Travel experience with Beyond Sports (or a similar organization), preferred

  • Former collegiate student-athlete

  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills and cross-cultural awareness

  • Extensive international travel experience

General Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery our program itineraries. Our Tour Coordinators play a crucial role in making sure all participants and in-country partners are on the same page in regards to where to be and when.

  • Ensure the health and safety of all our program participants

  • Chaperone group excursions

  • Be ready and willing to accept duties assigned by the Program Director

  • Develop meaningful connections with our program participants

  • Help foster an empowering, positive, and inclusive environment

Qualities of a Great Tour Coordinator

  • Passionate about creating global community through sport

  • Experienced in problem-solving and thinking on the fly

  • Highly adaptable

  • Team-oriented

  • Excellent communicator

  • Confidence in front of large groups (sometimes up to 50 people)

  • Views challenges as opportunities

  • Assumes ownership and responsibility in all settings

Compensation

  • Hotel accommodations while abroad​

  • Three meals per day during program operations

  • Roundtrip airfare from the US to the tour country

  • International health insurance while abroad

​*Airfare comes with one included checked bag and a carry-on. Any additional baggage fees will be at the expense of staff​.
