Nine nights lodging at 4-star hotels (6 nights in Tokyo and 3 nights in Kyoto). The hotels will be separate from, but nearby, the student-athletes.

Participants
This Japan Fan Tour is for fans accompanying athletes on our high school boys lacrosse tour and high school girls lacrosse tour.
Fan Tours are open to family members, friends, and supporters of our high school Beyond Sports athletes. (Note: The minimum age to participate in a Fan Tour is 10 years old.)
Accommodations
All Fan Tours are arranged in 4-star hotels. All rooms are Double Occupancy with two single beds. If desired, travelers can upgrade to a Single Occupancy Room,.
Payment
A $250 deposit per person is required to reserve a spot on a Beyond Sports Fan Tour. Additional payments will be paid in a series of installments:

Travelers can choose to arrange their own travel to Japan or join our group flight, direct from Newark, NJ (EWR), for an additional fee of +$1800/traveler. This includes one checked bags. Inquire with our team for more group flight details.

July 28 - Travel Day
Travel day! Because of time zone differences, if you are traveling from the US, you will need to depart on July 28th to arrive to Japan on July 29th.
July 29 - Tokyo
Welcome to Tokyo! Upon arrival at Haneda Airport (HND), transfer to your hotel to check in and relax after your journey. In the evening, gather for a special welcome dinner at a traditional izakaya, where you’ll savor authentic Japanese flavors and toast to the start of an incredible adventure.
July 30 - Tokyo
Kick off your Tokyo exploration with a visit to the bustling Shibuya Scramble Crossing, a world-famous hub of activity. Dive deeper into Japanese tradition by attending a live sumo training session, an intimate glimpse into this iconic sport. Enjoy a group dinner in the evening, followed by free time to explore the city on your own.
July 31 - Tokyo
Begin your day with a tranquil visit to the Meiji Shrine, a serene retreat in the heart of Tokyo, followed by a leisurely walk through Yoyogi Park. After lunch at the vibrant Tsukiji Market, immerse yourself in the colorful energy of Harajuku. Cap off the day by cheering on your athlete during their first game against local competition.
August 1 - Tokyo
Discover the beauty of Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo's oldest and most iconic temple, and stroll through Nakamise Street, where you can pick up unique souvenirs. In the afternoon, learn the art of Japanese cooking during a hands-on culinary class. In the evening, attend the second exhibition game to support your athlete.
August 2 - Tokyo
Venture outside Tokyo for a day trip to the historic town of Nikko––renowned for its natural beauty and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Admire the Toshogu Shrine, Rinnoji Temple, and the stunning Kegon Waterfall, set against the backdrop of a serene lake. Enjoy a group dinner together, before returning to Tokyo in the evening for some well-deserved rest.
August 3 - Tokyo
Spend the morning at your leisure, whether relaxing or exploring Tokyo at your own pace. In the afternoon, join the group to spectate the final exhibition game, celebrating the athletes' hard work and camaraderie.
August 4 - Kyoto
Embark on a bullet train ride to Kyoto, soaking in picturesque views along the way. Upon arrival, settle into your hotel before exploring the magnificent Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), strolling through the historic streets of the Gion District, and sampling delicacies at Nishiki Market.
August 5 - Kyoto
Step into the past with a fascinating samurai experience, gaining insight into Japan’s legendary warriors. After a group lunch, explore the enchanting Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and its surrounding treasures. Enjoy free time in the evening to unwind or discover Kyoto’s nightlife.
August 6 - Kyoto
Start your final full day with a visit to the iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine, famous for its endless rows of vibrant red gates. Take a scenic walk up the mountain trail to enjoy breathtaking views of Kyoto. Use the afternoon for personal exploration or relaxation, and conclude your journey with a farewell dinner shared with coaches, fans, and athletes.
August 7 - Departure Day
Travel back to Tokyo early in the morning for your onward journey. Depart from Haneda Airport (HND) with cherished memories from this unforgettable tour.
The final itinerary may change slightly based on the confirmed game schedule. We will do our best to follow this exact itinerary.
Fan Tour FAQ
When is the deadline to register?
The final day to register for a Fan Tour is March 15th, 2025.
Can I stay with my student-athlete at the same hotel?
To enable us to continue providing an independent experience for our student-athletes, our Fan Tour hotels are separate from the student-athletes. All Japan Fan Tour hotels will be within 15 minutes of where are students are staying.
When will I be able to see my student-athlete?
Accompanying fans will be able to see their student-athlete at the exhibition games, as well as during the final celebratory meal on the last night of the tour. We also offer 'Check-Out Time Blocks,' during which you can sign your athlete out of the Athlete Tour to spend time together.
Can I opt out of activities on the itinerary?
Yes, participants may opt out of activities on the itinerary. Please note, any replacement activities are at the expense of the participant.
How will I travel to Japan?
Tour participants are responsible for arranging their own air travel to and from Japan. We provide detailed flight booking instructions in the pre-departure process.

Who will meet me at the airport in Japan?
If you travel independently to Japan, our Beyond Sports staff will be waiting for you at the airport in Japan. Once you connect with our team in Japan, our staff will be with you for the duration of the tour.
