An Opportunity for the Fans

Ask any of our high school or college participants, and they will agree: traveling abroad on a sports-focused tour is a life-changing experience. From exploring a new region to embracing a fresh cultural perspective, our tours are designed to be culturally immersive for everyone- athletes, coaches, and fans. Family members make countless sacrifices for their athletes to succeed, including late-night practices, weekend tournaments, and long drives to away games. Fans deserve their own international adventure, too. Travelling on a Beyond Sports Fan Tour guarantees just that.

What Are Fan Tours?

Fan Tours are specialized travel experiences for the supporters of our tour participants: parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins, grandparents, friends, and coaches. While athletes engage  in their own confidence-building adventure, fan tours offer unique excursions and opportunities to connect with the destination country. And of course, our fans attend every competition to cheer on their athletes.

What Makes a Fan Tour Unique?

These tours offer family and friends the perfect balance: the chance to travel near their athletes, cheering them on during international competition, and explore world-class sites, all white building friendships with other tour members.

Beyond Sports tours are intentionally designed to be an opportunity for athletes to grow in confidence and independence. To support this, tours operate separately but concurrently. This gives athletes the space to bond with teammates and develop leadership skills, while still offering opportunities to share experiences together with fans.

Connecting with the Athletes

On different occasions, fans have the chance to officially “check out” their athletes for a few hours to explore together. Enjoy a local meal, wander off the beaten path, or swap stories about your adventures. The tours also reunite on the last night of the program to share a farewell dinner, providing the perfect chance to reflect and enjoy one last night together with new friends.

The Game Day Experience

Fans have front-row access to all of the competitions. During these competitions, athletes will display what they have learned from their collegiate coaching staff while also learning how to adapt to a new style of play and playing with new teammates. Athletes and fans alike often describe learning much from playing against or watching the international competition.

Why Travel on a Fan Tour?

Planning an international trip can be daunting, from building an itinerary to communicating across language barriers or even just finding a good breakfast spot. By letting Beyond Sports handle the logistics, travelers can truly enjoy their international experience without any of the hassle.

Traveling on a Fan Tour also allows the unique opportunity for travelers to meet other like-minded tour participants from all over the country. Whether they share a love of a certain sport or just enjoy cheering on their athlete, Fan Tour travelers often return home with newfound friendships that last well after the tour ends.

Plus, you will be accompanied by a Beyond Sports tour coordinator. These staff members manage the logistics and serve as your cultural guides. Want to know about a local dish or a historical fun fact? Your coordinator is there to ensure you don't just see the country, but learn about it, too.
