This tour is designed for high school athletes and includes lacrosse training, exhibition games versus local club teams, leadership development, and international adventure.
Our tours are led by current US collegiate coaches––who provide students with an insight of playing at the collegiate level, as well as share their experience with what it takes to be a team leader.

Nomination Criteria
Eligible Nominators:
High school coaches, club coaches, and athletic directors
Eligibility Requirements:

Standout leader and/or performer in high school girls lacrosse

Lacrosse Tour Details
Destination: Spain
Length: Nine days, eight nights
Dates: Summer 2024
Participants:
This tour is designed for high school girls lacrosse athletes in the graduating classes of 2024 through 2026.
Tour Coach:
Katie Russo, Head Women's Lacrosse Coach at Goucher College, will travel with and coach our 2024 tour athletes. Learn more about Coach Russo below.
Roster Size:
This tour is capped at 24 student-athletes and will be divided up into two rosters of 12. All participants will receive equal playing time.
Tour Inclusions:

Eight nights of accommodations (four nights in Barcelona, four nights in Valencia) and three meals per day

Six lacrosse development sessions––this includes three practices led by US collegiate coaches and three exhibition games against local Spanish clubs teams
-
Three athlete-centered leadership development workshops and a minimum of one service-learning activity

Visits to La Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, Camp Nou, and the City of Arts & Science

Katie Russo
Head Women's Lacrosse Coach | Goucher College
Russo is in her eighth year of collegiate lacrosse coaching. She was a four-year starter and captain at Randolph-Macon College––tallying 89 goals and 66 assists for 155 points. Russo started as the head coach at Goucher College in November 2022. Prior to Goucher College, Russo served as the head coach at Eastern Mennonite where she helped the team achieve it's first winning season.
Russo is excited to share her passions for lacrosse, youth mentorship, and adventure with our Spain Girls Lacrosse Tour participants this summer!

What is the cost of this tour?
The program cost is $3995––which includes all meals, all lodging, all programming, and international health insurance.
If cost is prohibitive, we do have fundraising and scholarship resources available to assist students.
What's the value of this experience?
Our high school sports tours unlock confidence in athletes––both on and off the field of play. This is an opportunity for young adults to challenge themselves beyond their comfort zone, meet likeminded peers and mentors, and return home with remarkable memories of adventure!
Can family travel with my student-athlete?
Yes, family members are welcome to travel with their daughter. We offer a travel package for accompanying family members.
How many student-athletes can I nominate?
Coaches can nominate up to three student-athletes per team.
If I nominate a student-athlete, are they required to attend?
No, attendance is not required. Once a student is nominated, she'll be connected with one of our tour coordinators to learn more about this program. She and her family will have the opportunity to decide if this is a good fit for her.
What is the right age for this tour?
For this tour, we are enrolling student-athletes in the graduating classes of 2024 through 2026. We are looking for student-athletes in that age range who meet the nomination criteria above.
