Daily Life of a Fellow
Imagine waking up in a tropical paradise with your workspace, fitness center, yoga studio and a beautiful beach just steps away!
During the work week you'll split your time between enrolling students in GLASS programs, special projects with Beyond Sports staff and volunteering with our local partner organizations.
Take advantage and explore Costa Rica & other parts of Central America! Travel on weekends or get to know the Guanacaste Province. You're walking distance from one of Costa Rica's best beaches so pick up a surfboard or a good book and enjoy!
Additional perks include round trip airfare to and from Costa Rica at the beginning and end of your program and home for the winter holidays. You'll have access to the kitchen and groceries are provided. Once per week a local chef comes to prepare Team Dinner.
During the summer months you'll get the full Beyond Sports Staff experience! We'll be operating programs for high school athletes here in Costa Rica!

Beyond's mission is to create an environment where the Fellows are gaining leadership and business skills, as well as international and cross-cultural experiences to enhance the trajectory of their careers. Through the GLASS program, fellows will take a major project from start to finish and will reap the benefits of their hard work as they witness high school students having their own transformative experiences!
Beyond Fellows will be at the forefront of a mission to advance young women in sports and business, created by athletes, for athletes. This mission is called GLASS.

The Girls Leadership Academy for Service & Sport is a leadership development program designed specifically for high school girls and is hosted on our Beyond Sports Campus in Playa Flamingo, Costa Rica. Beyond welcomed its first GLASS cohort in the summer of 2019.
