PAYMENT
A $250 deposit is required to reserve your spot for the tour. The remaining balance is paid in a series of installments.
The deposit deadline is February 1st, 2023.
ACCOMMODATIONS
All hotel stays are in 4-star hotels. Participants will share a room with another traveler, however, every participant will have their own bed.

Tour Itinerary
DAY 1
Departure day! Depart from Hub Airport (LAX) with tour coaches and Beyond Sports staff on international flight to Australia.
DAY 2
Travel day! (We lose one day crossing the International Date Line.)
DAY 3
Morning arrival to Sydney International Airport! Transfer to city center for free time to explore before afternoon hotel check-in. Welcome dinner and trip orientation to finish our first day in Australia! Overnight in Sydney.
DAY 4
Morning sightseeing including views of the Sydney Harbour, Sydney Opera House and Darling Harbour. Visit the Sydney Tower Observation Deck for spectacular 360-degree views of the city! First team practice in the evening. Overnight in Sydney.
DAY 5
Enjoy 'brekkie' at the hotel before we set out for the Coastal Walk from Bondi to Coogee Beach. We'll check out two of Sydney's most popular beaches and walk along coastal cliffs, keeping our eyes peeled for whale sightings off the coast. Game #1 in the evening against a local Australian field hockey club. Overnight in Sydney.
DAY 6
Morning flight from Sydney to the coastal city of Brisbane, Queensland. We'll head straight to the field for a quick practice, and then to our accommodations for a free afternoon to explore downtown Brisbane at your leisure. Overnight in Brisbane.
DAY 7
Morning tour of Brisbane's city center; including City Botanical Gardens, South Bank Parklands, Mount Coot-tha, Story Bridge, and Suncorp Stadium! Game #2 in the evening followed by post-game function with the opposing team! Overnight in Brisbane.
DAY 8
Day trip to Tangalooma Island resort for snorkeling, pelican feeding, dolphin shows, and much more! We'll ferry to the island from the Holt Street Wharf and return to our hotel in the late afternoon. Overnight in Brisbane.
DAY 9
Morning departure for The Gold Coast. Spend the afternoon enjoying the golden beaches of Surfers Paradise, or shop for souvenirs at the popular local market! Overnight in Gold Coast.
DAY 10
Set out early for the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary to see the flora and fauna of Australia; including rainbow lorikeets, dingoes, Tasmanian Devils, various reptiles, and the largest aviary in the Southern Hemisphere! In the evening, we'll play Game #3 against another top Australian team! Overnight in Gold Coast.
DAY 11
The group will have a day of leisure to do your choice of activities in The Gold Coast; enjoy Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Lamington National Park, and much more! Overnight in Gold Coast.
DAY 12
Say our goodbyes as we head to Brisbane Airport (BNE) for a full day of travel back to the U.S.A.
Please understand that the final itinerary may change slightly based on the confirmed game schedule. We will do our best to follow this exact itinerary.

Accept Your Invitation
If you received an invitation from your coach, please accept your invite to begin registration. If you did not receive an invite, but are interested in joining the tour, please complete our program application.

Register & Deposit
When you are ready to commit to the tour, submit your $250 deposit to reserve your spot. The full cost of the tour is not due immediately. Payment deadlines are outlined in registration.
3.
Begin Travel Prep
Once deposited, your tour coordinator will connect with you to share pre-departure information. We encourage all students who do not have a valid passport to apply for a passport as soon as possible!

Things I learned on my Beyond Sports Volleyball Tour:
1. When presented with the opportunity to play the sport you love with a bunch of strangers in a foreign country, take it.
2. Try new things and new food.
3. It's okay to feel emotional about leaving friends you met 10 days ago.
Incredibly grateful for all of the opportunities that my sport brought me, but especially this one. Thanks Beyond Sports for the trip of a lifetime.
Australia Tour FAQ
How was I selected for this tour?
Tour invite lists are a competitive selection process. We select conference statistical leaders, all-conference honorees, and coach recommendations.
Who will be my tour coach?
Beyond Sports is proud of our incredible network of college coaches that join our international trips as tour coaches! All tour coaches are current college coaches and will be announced in Spring 2023.
How will I travel to Australia?
Tour participants are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) where we will travel as a group to Australia. International airfare is arranged by Beyond. Final travel itineraries are shared with tour participants 6-8 weeks before departure.
Though international airfare is included in your tour cost, you have the option to opt out and arrange your own airfare to and from Australia. If you choose to arrange your own travel, we will apply a $800 discount to your program total.
Can a family member or teammate travel with me?
